Code of Conduct

Representatives of the data protection authorities, the Federal Consumer Association (Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband e.V.) and the insurance industry have negotiated a set of rules of conduct to promote the implementation of data-protection requirements, also referred to as the “Code of Conduct”. The insurance companies of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group joined these rules for the handling of personal data by the German insurance industry at the earliest possible date, 01 January 2013.

The current rules of conduct issued by the German Insurance Association (GDV) are available on the GDV website.

List of service providers

In accordance with the rules of conduct for handling personal data and with the procedure for using the standard consent and confidentiality release clauses, we maintain a list of all service providers cooperating with the various insurance companies of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group. This does not mean that your data is forwarded to every service provider. Forwarding of your personal data to these companies may only become necessary in the course of application, contract and claims handling, and ongoing support by responsible intermediaries.
